During the summer months in BC, the weather can become very warm and dry. What does this have to do with insurance? Consider the situation where your home insurance is up for renewal and there is a forest fire burning nearby. You may just find that you are denied the insurance! If you are a new buyer and taking out a mortgage on your new home, you have to have insurance in place for the lender to release those funds. Therefore, if you are looking for a home during a forest fire, make sure you get in and speak with an insurance broker.
