Our Vancouver Island Vision takes us to Dick Murphy Park in Campbell River – known to locals as “The Spit”. Tyee Spit is known for the Tyee fishing club which is Campbell River’s oldest organization – It’s quite a sight to see the rowers out there fishing! Dick Murphy Park offers a great amount of wildlife as you will often see eagles, whales, dolphins and so much more. If you are visiting the area from out of town, Thunderbird RV Park is a beautiful site right off the water. Although, booking ahead is suggested as the park is quite busy. The Spit offers a great park area for your children and a nice walking path for you and your pets all year round. And, don’t forget to enjoy the view of the sea planes coming and going at the estuary.
