October 2020 Market Stats

This week on What’s Happening Wednesday we give thanks and bring October 2020 Market Stats. We are so thankful for everyone who came out to help set up for our Halloween event. We would also like to thank everyone who came out to support us and those who donated to Tour deRock! This year we managed to donate a few hundred dollars to the cause despite the conditions in the world today. 

The real estate market is still needing inventory for the large number of buyers we have out there. As you know, we work all over Vancouver Island, however most of our sales are in Campbell River. With that said, there are only 94 single family homes that are currently listed in Campbell River. If you have any thoughts of selling, please give us a call. We may just be able to find you the right home if you are considering downsizing or upsizing your home. We have a large number of buyers looking for their next home and it very well could be a match with your home! In the Month of October, we seen 63 single family homes sell. What does that mean? Houses are coming on the market and selling within days of being listed for over asking price. To reflect on October of 2019, there were only 47 single family homes sold! This shows how hot the market is right now. As well, in 2019, the average price of a single-family home was $479,000. To compare, the average price of a single-family home in Campbell River today is $578,750.
