This week on Vancouver Island Vision we take a look at the iconic Ripple Rock hiking trail in Campbell River, BC. This is a popular hiking trail overlooking the site of the 1958 Ripple Rock blast. This was the largest, non-nuclear explosion at the time. Trail is 4 kms long; allow 2 and a half to 3 hours return. Great viewpoints overlooking Menzies Bay and Seymour Narrows.
