As we hope our readers know by now we have partnered with Warren Stratton, a local rider in the Tour de Rock Cops for Cancer! This has lead to the first annual Team Marin Sharin’ the Love fundraising event here in Campbell River on September 14th 2019.
No child nor parent should have to fight the battle and devastation of cancer alone. So we want to do something about it to fight with them. We have asked the community for support, and boy have they spoken.
More than two dozen local businesses within Campbell River, along with international bike company Marin Bikes has offered assistance through sponsorship and/or donations to the event. Our main sponsors include Marin Bikes out of California, Throttle Therapy ATV Tours, Miracle Way Vacuum Systems, Norman Marshall Limited Print and dozens of gift certificates, baskets and other prizes from local businesses.
The Eagle Ridge Plaza is located at 850 12 Ave, Campbell River, BC. We hope to see everyone there for food, dancing, entertainment by Doug Folkins and Kenny Shaw. Last, don’t forget dozens of prizes available through the raffle and pop draws. These prizes include gift certificates from over a dozen local businesses, more than one bicycle from Canadian Tire, gift baskets and so much more!
100% of proceeds will be donated to the Cops for Cancer Foundation.
